2023 Polestar 3 — Design

The new Polestar 3 carries design cues from existing Polestar EVs with a pinch of SUV characteristics. It gets a tall bonnet that sweeps down and merges with the enclosed grille. The LED headlights get the new implementation of the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ design and gives the Polestar 3 a unique appeal. While the side profile seems inspired by the XC40 Recharge, the rear of the Polestar 3 seems unlike any other Volvo on sale currently thanks to its connected LED tail light setup.

2023 Polestar 3 — Interiors

On the inside, the new Polestar 3 features a 14.5-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with Polestar’s custom Android interface. Additionally, it offers in-built Google Maps, Google Assistant, OTA updates and wireless Apple CarPlay. Other features of the Polestar 3 include a panoramic glass roof, a 25-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system, and soft door close.

2023 Polestar 3 — Powertrain

The Polestar 3 comes with a 111kWh battery pack along with 2 electric motors. Combined, the electric motors produce 490PS of power and 840Nm of torque and with the performance pack, the figures rise to 516PS and 910Nm. The Polestar 3 can do a sprint from standstill to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds with the performance pack. It offers a WLTP-certified range of 610km on a single charge.

While Polestar is not available in India, Volvo Car India recently launched the XC40 Recharge at Rs. 55 lakh ex-showroom. Furthermore, Volvo plan to launch the C40 Recharge in India, which is the coupe-SUV bodystyle derivative of the XC40 Recharge.
