The Citroen C3, which was launched earlier this year in India, scored zero stars in the Latin NCAP crash test. In this article, we take a look at how the C3 performed in the Latin NCAP crash test.

The Citroen C3 scored zero stars in the Latin NCAP crash test. The Citroen C3 SUV scored 12.21 points in adult occupant safety and 5.93 points in child occupant safety test. The Citroen C3 test car was equipped with dual front airbags, seatbelt load limiter, seatbelt reminder and electronic stability control (ESC).

The B2-segment SUV offered excellent protection for the driver's and passenger's heads while for the driver's knees and the passenger's right knee, the protection was marginal. While weak protection was found for the chest area, the front passenger protection was found adequate. The bodyshell was found unstable and incapable of bearing further loadings.

The India-spec Citroen C3 is available with 2 engine and transmission combinations - a 1.2L normal petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.2L turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission.
