Maruti Discontinue S-Presso CNG — Relaunch Expected In Coming Months | V3Cars

With the launch of the updated S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki discontinued the CNG variants of the SUV-styled hatchback. Maruti Suzuki are likely to launch the S-Presso CNG with the updated powertrain in the coming months.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso CNG

The new S-Presso comes with the same 1.0L dual-jet normal petrol engine seen in the new Celerio. Maruti Suzuki launched the Celerio CNG a couple of months after the launch of the Celerio petrol. Hence, we expect the CNG-powered S-Presso facelift to launch in a few months too.

The S-Presso facelift now comes with updated features and powertrain. It gets the new 1.0L normal petrol engine with dual-jet technology. It produces 67PS of power and 89Nm of torque at 3500rpm. The engine comes with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission.

Along with the engine update, Maruti Suzuki also added new features to the top variants of the S-Presso. New features include electronic stability program with hill-hold control (AMT variants only), electronically-adjustable ORVMs, idle start/stop and an updated infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

We expect the new S-Presso CNG to offer improved fuel efficiency than the outgoing model. The new S-Presso petrol offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.3kmpl, which is 17% more than the outgoing model.
