Mercedes-Benz India have reopened bookings for 3 of its top-end vehicles after the company received limited additional production. The higher allocation should significantly reduce the waiting period for Mercedes-Benz India’s top-end models that are imported into India via the completely built unit (CBU) route. The bookings will be exclusively open for existing Mercedes-Benz customers for the first week before other interested buyers.

India A Significant Market For Mercedes-Benz

The priority allocation for our market highlights the significance of the Indian market in Mercedes-Benz’ growth strategy. India is currently Mercedes-Benz’ fastest-growing market globally, with a YoY growth of 41%.

With a 69% YoY growth, the top-end luxury vehicle segment, or TEV as Mercedes-Benz likes to call it, was the highest growing segment for the carmaker in 2022. The TEV segment remains a strong focus area for the company in CY 2023, with more than half of the upcoming launches in 2023 planned within this segment. Mercedes-Benz India’s TEV segment offerings include the likes of the AMG E 53 cabriolet, AMG G 63, GLS Maybach, S-Class, S-Class Maybach, and the EQS luxury EV.
