Mercedes-Benz have revealed their plans to launch the made-in-India EQS 580 in September 21, 2022. The EQS 580 will sit below the EQS 53 AMG. Mercedes-Benz India will assemble the EQS 580 at their assembly plant in Chakan, Pune.

Mercedes EQS 580 sits between the EQS 450+ and the performance grade 53 AMG models. It packs the same 107.8kWh battery pack as the 450+ and comes with 4-wheel-drive. Its two electric motors produce 523PS of power and 855Nm of torque. Both the 450+ and 580 can be charged from 10% - 100% in around 5 hours via a 22kW AC charger. With a 200kW DC fast charger, the EQS can be charged from 10% - 80% in around 31 minutes.
