3D-Model Leak Of The Toyota Innova Hycross Reveal A Panoramic Sunroof | V3Cars

The new-generation of the Toyota Innova is just round the corner and Toyota have also dropped the first teaser image. Ahead of its launch, a new 3D-model leak of the upcoming Innova Hycross reveals the presence of a panoramic sunroof cutout.

Toyota Innova Hycross will become the second Toyota model in India to offer a panoramic sunroof, after the recently-launched Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Along with that, the new Innova Hycross is likely to pack a lot more features like a new infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, 360-degree parking camera and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The 3D-model also gives a sneak peek to the design of the Innova Hycross. At the front, it gets a flat and tall bonnet with a sloping recess towards the front grille. The front grille of the new Innova Hycross could span bigger over the current model, flanked by the updated LED headlights. It could also get LED DRLs, positioned lower on the front bumper.

In terms of powertrain, the new Innova Hycross could use a petrol-hybrid setup. We do not expect the Innova Hycross to be offered with any diesel engines. While details about the hybrid powertrain of the Innova Hycross are scarce, it may use a 2.0L hybrid powertrain and offer more power and torque than the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. For the cost-conscious buyers, Toyota could also offer a base petrol engine without the hybrid powertrain at a considerably lower price.

It is worth noting that Toyota have stopped accepting orders for the Innova Crysta diesel owing to high demand. It will be interesting to see if Toyota are successful in shifting potential buyers of the Innova Crysta diesel to the advanced hybrid powertrain of the new Innova Hycross. The new Innova Hycross will rival other SUVs and MPVs in the class, such as the Kia Carens, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.
