2022 Volkswagen Virtus India Launch On June 9 | V3Cars

Volkswagen India are all set to launch the 2022 Virtus mid-sized sedan on June 9. Bookings for the 1.0L and 1.5L Virtus are already open. The upcoming Virtus will go up against the Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

The Volkswagen Virtus will come in two visual lines – Dynamic Line and Performance Line. The Dynamic Line will get the 1.0 turbo petrol engine whereas the Performance Line will be equipped with the 1.5 turbo petrol engine. Both versions get standard features like auto headlamps, a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 16-inch wheels, an 8-speaker premium sound system, and multiple safety features.

We expect Volkswagen India to price the 2022 Virtus in the range of Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 18 lakh ex-showroom. Talking of the competition, the Honda City is set to receive a hybrid powertrain on April 14 whereas Hyundai have started the global testing of the next-gen Verna.
