With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Toyota Glanza’s prices start at Rs. 6.81 lakh and top out at Rs. 9.73 lakh(ex-showroom). The Tata Punch’s petrol-manual range costs between Rs. 6 lakh and Rs. 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Glanza petrol-automatic is available in 3 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 8.25 lakh to Rs. 10.00 lakh(ex-showroom). The Punch’s 12 petrol-automatic variants cost between Rs. 7.50 lakh and Rs. 10.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Toyota Glanza’s prices start at Rs. 8.60 lakh and top out at Rs. 9.63 lakh(ex-showroom). The 5 CNG-manual variants of the Tata Punch start at Rs. 7.10 lakh and go up to Rs. 9.68 lakh(ex-showroom).
The Toyota Glanza is a hatchback while the Tata Punch is an SUV. The Glanza is 3990mm long, 1745mm wide and 1500mm tall. The Glanza’s wheelbase is 2520mm long. The Punch measures 3827mm long, 1742mm wide and 1615mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2445mm. In terms of dimensions, the Toyota Glanza is slightly bigger than the Tata Punch. However, the Tata Punch’s SUV-like stance gives it a stronger road presence than the Glanza.
The Toyota Glanza has a ground clearance of 170mm, while the Punch has a ground clearance of 187mm. The 318-litre boot space of the Glanza is 48 litres smaller than that of the Punch.

The Toyota Glanza only gets a 1.2L normal CNG engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Glanza’s 1.2L normal CNG engine makes 77PS of power at 6000rpm and 98Nm of torque at 4300rpm.
The Tata Punch is also available with a 1.2L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 74PS of power at 6000rpm and 103Nm of torque at 3250rpm.
