2022 Maruti Brezza Base LXi Variant Walkaround Video Surfaces On Internet | V3Cars

Maruti are all set to launch the 2022 Brezza tomorrow. Ahead of its launch, a walkaround video of its base LXi variant has surfaced on the internet. The video reveals significant details about the new Brezza LXi’s exterior, interior and powertrain.

Exterior

The video shows a 2022 Brezza LXi finished in white. At the front, the grille gets a gloss black treatment. The Suzuki logo on the grille is flanked by U-shaped chrome elements on either side. However, the base variant misses out on fog lamps and silver skid plate. Apart from that, the base variant seen in the video features halogen headlamps with halogen turn indicators and no DRLs. The headlamps seem to have a smoked finish to them too.

The Brezza LXi also gets black body cladding all around. The LED turn indicators are mounted on the ORVMs. It also gets body-coloured door handles, a shark fin antenna and 15-inch steel wheels. However, the base model lacks roof rails, which are expected to be standard on higer variants.

The rear of the Brezza LXi features LED taillights, while the rear skid plate gets a black finish. Higher variants are expected to feature a silver-finished skid plate. The Brezza LXi also lacks rear washer, wiper and defogger. There’s a Smart Hybrid badge at the rear, which suggests that the new Brezza will get a mid-hybrid setup as standard and even with the manual transmission variants.

Interior

2022 Brezza

The 2022 Brezza’s base LXi variant gets an all-black dashboard. However, the higher variants of the 2022 Brezza will get a dual-tone black and grey dashboard. Highlights of the 2022 Brezza LXi variant’s interior include:

  • All 4 power windows
  • Remote central locking
  • Manual AC
  • Electrically-adjustable ORVMs
  • Monocolour TFT instrument cluster with analogue speedometer and tachometer

Powertrain

On the powertrain front, the 2022 Brezza will retain the 1.5L normal petrol engine. It will, however, gain Maruti’s dual-jet technology for better fuel efficiency. In the new Ertiga and XL6, the 1.5L engine produces 103PS of power at 6000rpm and 136.8Nm of torque at 4400rpm. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual and a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Thanks to the smart hybrid technology, which will be now standard across the range, we expect the 2022 Brezza to deliver a segment-best claimed fuel efficiency.
