Aston Martin DB12 Grand Tourer Coupe Revealed | V3Cars

Aston Martin have taken the wraps off of the new DB12 Grand Tourer and they insist that ‘Grand’ isn’t sufficient for their new coupe, hence they refer to it as a ‘Super Tourer’. Read on to know more about the design and performance of the new Aston Martin DB12.

Aston Martin DB12 Exterior Details

The new DB12 takes an evolutionary approach and keeps the signature design cues of the British luxury carmaker. At the front, it gets the large grille with horizontally-stacked chrome lines. It gets new LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs that are slimmer than before. The lower part of the bumper gains a new splitter. Around the side, it offers 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and flared rear wheel arches. At the rear, the new DB12 offers slimmer C-shaped LED tail lights along with the new Aston Martin wings logo.

With the new DB12, Aston Martin have finally introduced their bespoke infotainment system, which sits flush within the dashboard. The new touchscreen infotainment system measures 10.25-inch in size and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and connected car technology. For the DB12, Aston Martin have joined hands with Bowers and Wilkins for the 15-speaker sound system.

Aston Martin DB12 Powertrain Details

The new DB12 makes use of the updated 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG. In its updated form, this engine produces 680PS of power at 6000rpm and 800Nm of torque between 2750rpm and 6000rpm. The DB12 can do 0-100kmph in under 3.5 seconds and its top speed is limited to 325kmph. Furthermore, the new DB12 also offers improved adaptive suspension and an electronic rear differential for better ride and handling balance.

The new DB12 will go on sale in Q3 2023 in global markets. Since Aston Martin are not officially present in the Indian market, we expect their official dealer partner — Select Cars — to begin imports in early 2024.
