The deliveries of the BMW iX1 will begin in October 2023. The new BMW iX1 rivals electric SUVs like the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Mercedes-Benz GLB, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6.

Unlike the India-spec X1 that is only offered with a 2WD drivetrain, the iX1 gets all-wheel-drive as standard thanks to its twin electric motor setup. The combined power and torque output of the twin electric motors stand at 313PS and 494Nm, respectively.

The electric motors draw power from a 64.7kWh battery pack that sits under the floor of the SUV. The iX1 offers a WLTP-certified range of 440km on a single charge.
