Citroen India have launched the Dark Editions of the C3, Aircross and Basalt in India and revealed their variants and prices. Check out the full price list, design and features, and powertrain specifications of the C3 Dark, Aircross Dark and Basalt Dark below.

The Citroen C3 Dark Edition is available in 3 variants with 2 engine options. Here are their variant-wise prices:

The C3 Dark Edition manual variants are priced at a premium of Rs. 3,000 over the corresponding variant of the standard SUV. The C3 Dark automatic variant is priced identical to the standard variant it is based on. Unlike the Dark Editions of the Basalt and Aircross, which are only available with the 1.2L turbo petrol engine, the C3 Dark Edition is also available with Citroen’s 1.2L normal petrol engine.
The Citroen Basalt Dark Edition is based on the top Turbo Max manual and automatic variants. Here are the variant-wise prices:

Citroen are charging a premium of Rs. 7,000 for the Basalt Dark Edition manual variant. Surprisingly, the Basalt Dark Edition automatic variant is priced Rs. 1,000 lower than the corresponding variant of the standard Basalt.
Like the Basalt, the Aircross Dark Edition is also based on the top turbo petrol variants. Here are their variant-wise prices:

The Aircross Dark Edition variants are priced at a premium of Rs. 7,000 over the corresponding variants of the standard SUV.
As mentioned above, the C3 Dark Edition is available with 2 engine and 2 transmission options, whereas the Basalt and Aircross Dark Editions only get the more powerful 1.2L turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options. Here are their powertrain specs:
As the name suggests, the Dark Editions of the C3, Aircross and Basalt come finished in a black exterior colour and get black model badges in place of chrome ones. The Dark Edition is based on the top variants of the 3 Citroen SUVs. Hence, it offers the same diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED DRLs, fog lamps, and projector headlamps (Aircross and Basalt only). Citroen have equipped these models with ‘Dark’ badge on the tailgate to set them apart from the standard models.
On the inside, the C3, Aircross and Basalt Dark Editions get an all-black interior and upholstery with contrast orange stitching. All Citroen Dark models offer a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, 4 to 6 speakers, rear parcel tray, rear power windows, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

In terms of rivals, the C3 Dark competes with the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Ignis, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
The larger Aircross Dark Edition goes up against the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrder, among others.
Finally, the Basalt Dark Edition rivals the Tata Curvv, which too is set to receive a Dark Edition in the coming weeks.
