Mahindra Tease Electric Pickup Truck Concept | V3Cars

Mahindra recently teased a new electric pickup truck concept, ahead of its debut in the coming months. The electric pickup truck gets two doors or in simpler terms, single cab layout. The design of the electric pickup truck from Mahindra is very similar to the existing Bolero. Given the popularity of the Bolero brand among tier 2 and 3 cities, Mahindra may retain Bolero in its name when they reveal or launch this pickup.

Mahindra are also going to reveal their range of 5 new electric SUV concepts on August 15, 2022. These will include electric SUVs of multiple sizes and body styles, featuring a new age design from Mahindra. The pickup may get a separate reveal date after the 5 new electric SUVs are out.

From the teaser video, we can make out a flat nose with flush-fit headlamps, which is a signature to the Bolero SUV. Interestingly, this electric pickup gets the regular slant-M logo and not the new ‘Twin Peaks’ logo we see on the new XUV700 and the Scorpio N. The teaser also suggests that the electric pickup will get steel wheels with wheel covers in place of fancy alloys to save on costs.

We are yet to get the powertrain and battery specifications for the new electric pickup truck. Since it will become the primary workhorse for the potential buyers, we can expect it to offer good payload capacity. We can expect it to offer a respectable driving range of around 200 km on a single charge. However, it is too early to judge, only based on a concept teaser.
