Maruti Suzuki have updated the 2024 Fronx’s variant lineup by launching a new variant called the Delta Plus (O). The new Fronx Delta Plus (O) variant is only offered with the 1.2-litre normal petrol engine. The introduction of the new variant now allows Fronx buyers to opt for the normal petrol engine without sacrificing safety as it comes with 6 airbags.

That’s right. Earlier, the Fronx only offered 6 airbags with the top Zeta and Alpha variants, but these 2 variants are only available with the more expensive 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine option. Now, however, Maruti Suzuki have introduced a new top variant for the 1.2-litre normal petrol engine-equipped Fronx called the Delta Plus (O). But Maruti Suzuki are yet to update the Fronx’s variant-wise prices on their website. We expect Maruti Suzuki to charge a premium of around Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 15,000 over the Delta Plus variant for the inclusion of side and curtain airbags.
Currently, the Fronx’s Delta Plus variant is priced at Rs. 8.78 lakh for the 5-speed manual transmission and Rs. 9.28 lakh for the 5-speed AMT.
Apart from the inclusion of 6 airbags, the Delta Plus (O) variant gets the same features as the lower Delta Plus variant for the most part. According to the brochure, the only change visible in the Delta Plus (O) variant is the removal of the spare wheel in favour of a tyre puncture repair kit.

As mentioned above, the new Delta Plus (O) variant of the Fronx is only available with the 1.2-litre normal petrol engine. Maruti are offering the new Fronx variant with 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
The top Zeta and Alpha variants of the Fronx are available exclusively with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This 3-cylinder engine produces 100PS of power and 148Nm of torque. It is available with 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic – with claimed fuel efficiency figures of 21.50kmpl and 20.0kmpl, respectively.
The base Sigma and mid Delta variant of the Fronx is also available with a 1.2-litre CNG bi-fuel engine. This engine produces 78PS of power and 99Nm of torque when running on CNG. Claimed mileage figures stand at 28.51km/kg. The Fronx CNG is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
