Tata Motors have opened bookings for the Tiago CNG automatic variants for a token amount of Rs. 21,000. Equipped with an 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), the Tiago CNG is now the first CNG hatchback in India to offer an automatic transmission. Read on to know more about the Tiago CNG AMT.

As mentioned above, interested customers can now book the Tata Tiago CNG automatic variants for an amount of Rs. 21,000. The Tiago CNG with AMT is available in 3 variants – XTA CNG, XZA+ CNG & XZA NRG.
The Tiago CNG is offered with a 1.2L engine that can run on both petrol and CNG. The Tiago CNG offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.49km/kg. The 1.2L engine produces 73PS of power and 95Nm of torque when running on CNG. These figures increase to 86PS and 113Nm when running on petrol. The Tata Tiago CNG also gets Tata’s innovative twin CNG cylinder technology that helps liberate more boot space.

Currently, the Tiago normal petrol automatic variants are priced at a premium of Rs. 60,000 over their corresponding manual variants. We expect Tata to charge a similar premium for the CNG-automatic variants too.
The Tata Tiago CNG automatic variants are likely to be priced from Rs. 7.95 lakh to Rs. 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
