The prices of the Exter’s top-spec variant equipped with the automated manual transmission (AMT) stretches up to Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter’s powertrain specifications help it compete with a wide range of B1- and B2-segment SUVs. Since the Exter is only available with a normal petrol engine, we have picked the normal petrol engine options of its arch rivals for this comparison. Among its rivals, the Hyundai Exter doesn’t lead the chart in any segment. The Fronx offers one of the most powerful and efficient engines here while the Punch offers the most amount of torque. The Exter on the other hand, offers 83PS of power and 114Nm of torque, which are the same as that of the Grand i10 Nios hatchback and Aura sedan.

However, the Exter is the only SUV in its class to offer a factory-fitted CNG engine option.
