With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s prices start at Rs. 6.61 lakh and top out at Rs. 9.33 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Tigor’s petrol-manual range costs between Rs. 6.30 lakh and Rs. 8.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Baleno petrol-automatic is available in 3 variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 8.00 lakh to Rs. 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tigor’s 3 petrol-automatic variants cost between Rs. 7.45 lakh and Rs. 8.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the CNG-manual powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s prices start at Rs. 8.35 lakh and top out at Rs. 9.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tigor CNG-manual is available in 4 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 7.80 lakh to Rs. 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a hatchback while the Tata Tigor is a sedan. The Baleno is 3990mm long, 1745mm wide and 1500mm tall. The Baleno’s wheelbase is 2520mm long. The Tigor measures 3993mm long, 1677mm wide and 1532mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2450mm. In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is slightly larger than the Tata Tigor. So, the Baleno will offer a stronger road presence than the Tigor.
Both the cars have an identical ground clearance measuring 170mm. The 318-litre boot space of the Baleno is 101 litres smaller than that of the Tigor.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno only gets a 1.2L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The Baleno’s 1.2L normal petrol engine makes 90PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400rpm.
The Tata Tigor is only available with a 1.2L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The Tigor’s 1.2L normal petrol engine makes 86PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3300rpm.

The Tata Tigor is only available with a 1.2L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 73PS of power at 4000rpm and 95Nm of torque at 3500rpm.
