Let’s first look at the prices of both the cars for the petrol-manual powertrain.
With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Renault Kwid’s prices start at Rs. 4.70 lakh and top out at Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso’s petrol-manual range costs between Rs. 4.27 lakh and Rs. 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Kwid petrol-automatic is available in 4 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 5.44 lakh to Rs. 6.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso’s 2 petrol-automatic variants cost between Rs. 5.71 lakh and Rs. 6.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Renault Kwid is not available with a CNG-manual powertrain. The S-Presso CNG-manual is available in 2 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 5.92 lakh to Rs. 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Kwid and the S-Presso are not available with CNG-automatic powertrains.

The Renault Kwid and the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso are both hatchbacks. The Kwid is 3731mm long, 1579mm wide and 1490mm tall. The Kwid’s wheelbase is 2422mm long. The S-Presso measures 3565mm long, 1520mm wide and 1567mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2380mm. In terms of dimensions, the Renault Kwid is slightly larger than the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. So, the Kwid will offer a stronger road presence than the S-Presso.
The Kwid has a ground clearance of 184mm while the S-Presso has a ground clearance of 180mm. The 279-litre boot space of the Kwid is 9 litres larger than that of the S-Presso.
The Renault Kwid is available with one petrol engine — a 1.0L normal petrol engine. The 1.0L normal petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The 1.0L normal petrol engine in the Renault Kwid pushes out 68PS of power at 5500rpm and 91Nm of torque at 4250rpm.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is available with a 1.0L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The S-Presso’s 1.0L normal petrol engine makes 67PS of power at 5500rpm and 89Nm of torque at 3500rpm

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is also available with a 1.0L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 57PS of power at 5300rpm and 82Nm of torque at 3400rpm.
