Take a look at the expected powertrain specifications of the 2023 Hyundai Verna:
The 2023 Verna comes with 2 petrol engine options. It shares the 1.5L normal petrol engine with the Creta, which recently received the BS6 phase-2 update. The 2023 Verna will not offer a diesel engine option. The Hyundai Verna and Honda City were the only 2 sedans in the C-segment to offer a diesel engine option. Honda have already discontinued the diesel engine in the City sedan and the upcoming facelift will come with 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine options. The other rivals of the 2023 Verna, such as the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, are also offered with petrol engines.
