2024 Tata Altroz Racer Spotted Testing Ahead Of June Launch | V3Cars
Just ahead of the speculated launch of the 2024 Tata Altroz Racer in June, we spotted the orange Racer on public roads. If you don’t know, the Altroz Racer is the performance version of the regular Altroz with some performance and feature upgrades.

Tata first showcased the Altroz Racer at the 2023 Auto Expo but then completely forgot about it and started revamping their SUV lineup. Since we first saw the Altroz Racer, Tata have accumulated the following important accomplishments:
- Added Punch CNG with a relatively large boot space using 2 smaller cylinders instead of one big cylinder for gas (industry-first)
- Replaced Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG with the new 2-cylinder CNG kit
- Launched new-generation Nexon with new design and features
- Launched the Safari facelift with new design and more features
- Launched the Harrier facelift with new design and more features
- Launched the Tiago and Tigor with CNG-automatic powertrain (industry-first)
- Launched Punch EV on a new, EV-specific, skateboard platform
We almost thought that Tata had forgotten about the Altroz Racer. But then, we spotted a test model on public roads in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Then Tata Motors showcased the Racer at the 2024 Bharat Expo in New Delhi. Recently, a leaked internal document confirmed that the Altroz Racer would go on sale in June. And then, we spotted it running on public roads in Pune, Maharashtra without camouflage.
