Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift Launch In February 2022 | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki Baleno will soon get a major update. Multiple spy images surfaced earlier, revealing some key changes with the premium hatchback. Our dependable sources suggest that the 2022 Nexa Baleno will go on sale in February 2022. It will feature a new front and rear end with an updated grille, bumpers, headlights, and taillights. On the inside, we expect to get a new steering wheel, an updated cabin layout, and new features. However, we do not expect the Baleno to undergo any mechanical changes.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift

Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno in the year 2015 and it received a minor facelift in 2019. Till now, they have sold over 10 lakh Baleno hatchbacks and it’s the top seller in its segment.

We expect the overall layout of the dashboard to feature minor changes, along with an update to the features list as well. Missing features in the existing Baleno, like the rear armrest, rear AC vents, and cruise control will be a welcome addition to the upgraded version. On the powertrain front, Baleno is likely to get the 1.2L mild-hybrid petrol engine with 90PS of maximum power and 113Nm of torque as standard replacing the standard 1.2L petrol engine. Expect both manual and automatic transmissions to be available with this engine.

Maruti Suzuki may launch the Baleno facelift in February and the bookings could open soon. Keeping the updates and feature add-ons in mind, we can expect a considerable price increase, especially for the top-end variants. The Baleno facelift will compete with the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Tata Altroz, and Volkswagen Polo.
