Hyundai have sent us a ‘block your date’ invitation for an event scheduled for January 16, 2024. While the invitation doesn’t specify the nature of the event, various media reports suggest Hyundai could reveal the new Creta facelift on this day.
In this article, we take a look at Hyundai’s reveal, bookings open, launch and delivery timelines of the i20 facelift to estimate the official launch and price announcement date of the Hyundai Creta facelift.

In the case of the Hyundai i20 facelift, the carmaker did not hold an event to unveil the updated hatchback before bookings opened or its prices were revealed. Instead, Hyundai released a teaser video of the i20 facelift on September 1, 2023 and opened bookings 5 days later.
The Hyundai Creta is a hot-seller for the carmaker. Hence, expect Hyundai to release several teaser images and videos of the updated C-segment SUV in the first and second week of January.
2024 Creta Facelift Bookings Timeline
Based on the bookings and launch pattern of the last updated model Hyundai launched in India – the i20 – we could expect the carmaker to open bookings for the Creta facelift 5 days after they release the first set of teaser images and videos of the SUV. Hence, we could expect Hyundai Creta facelift bookings to open on January 13, 2024.

Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch Timeline
As was the case with the i20 facelift, we expect the carmaker to launch the Creta facelift 3 days after the official reveal of the SUV. Hence, it is possible that Hyundai could hold the launch event, reveal the variant list and announce the prices of the Creta facelift on January 16, 2024.
Creta Facelift Deliveries Timeline
Based on Hyundai’s launch, bookings and deliveries pattern over the last year, we expect Hyundai dealers to commence Creta facelift deliveries 10 days after the launch of the SUV. So, expect a tentative date of January 26, 2024 for deliveries of the Creta facelift to commence.
It is worth noting that the Creta is a hot-seller for Hyundai India and at the peak of its demand, the pre-facelift model commanded a waiting period of 20 to 34 weeks, depending on the variant. Expect the Creta facelift’s waiting period to extend into several weeks after the first lot of customers who have pre-booked the new Creta take possession of their SUVs. Currently, the Hyundai Creta is priced from Rs. 10.87 lakh - Rs. 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Creta facelift could get a significant hike in prices due to feature additions, rising input costs and inflation.
