2024 Tata Curvv Petrol And Diesel Powertrain Specs

Tata Motors have confirmed the powertrain specs of the Tata Curvv 2024. Tata’s coupe SUV will launch with two 1.2L turbo petrol engines and a 1.5L diesel engine. The brand will offer these engines with the option of a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Tata will offer the base and mid variants of the Curvv with the Nexon’s 1.2L turbo petrol engine that produces 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque. The mid and top variants will come with a brand-new 1.2L turbo petrol engine with direct injection that produces 125PS of power and 225Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, which is shared with the Nexon, produces 115PS of power and 260Nm of torque. All variants of the Curvv are available with the diesel-manual powertrain option, while the mid and top variants get the diesel-DCT option as well. It’s worth noting that the Tata Curvv is the first C-segment SUV in the country to offer a diesel engine paired with a DCT.

Tata Motors have only revealed the fuel efficiency or mileage figure of the Curvv’s diesel engine (22.4kmpl) so far. We expect the carmaker to release the claimed mileage figures of the Curvv’s other powertrain options in the coming days.

Tata Curvv Petrol And Diesel Expected Price

When launched, the Tata Curvv petrol and diesel will compete against other C-SUVs, such as the Hyundai Creta 2024, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, as well as the MG Astor.

The 2024 Tata Curvv petrol and diesel variants boast a length of 4308mm, width of 1810mm, height of 1630mm, and a wheelbase of 2560mm. The coupe SUV offers a ground clearance of 208mm and a boot space of 500 litres.
