November 2022 will play host to several car launches and unveils. November will offer a mix of premium SUVs, electric SUVs and efficient family cars. It is worth noting that the launch timelines mentioned are tentative and could possibly change.

Upcoming Cars In November 2022

Take a look at the upcoming launches and reveals of November 2022:

1. Jeep Grand Cherokee

Grand Cherokee

Jeep India is set to launch the Grand Cherokee in November 2022 and we expect the full-size American SUV to go on sale on November 11. The 5th-generation Grand Cherokee will be assembled in India alongside the Compass, Meridian and Wrangler. The new Grand Cherokee is expected to be powered by the same 2.0L turbo petrol engine that produces 268PS of power and 400Nm of torque as the Jeep Wrangler. The engine will channel power to all 4 wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Jeep are likely to price the Grand Cherokee from Rs. 85 lakh ex-showroom. It will rival the likes of the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90. Furthermore, Jeep are also likely to bring a sub-compact SUV to our shores in early 2023.

2. MG Hector

2022 Hector

The MG Hector is all set to receive its first major update in India this month. MG launched the Hector in 2019 and gave the D-segment SUV a facelift in 2020. The 2022 MG Hector will come with a larger grille and tweaked headlamp clusters. We expect a new design for the alloy wheels along with a reworked rear profile as well. On the inside, the 2022 MG Hector will get a new dashboard layout with a segment-leading, portrait-oriented 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new infotainment system will offer built-in GPS maps and wireless functionality for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The new Hector is likely to be powered by the same engines as the current model, albeit with updates to comply with upcoming emission norms. It will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700.

3. Toyota Glanza CNG

Glanza-CNG

Toyota are set to launch the Glanza CNG in India soon. The Glanza CNG will share its powertrain and equipment with the Baleno CNG and offer an impressive cost of ownership. A leaked homologation document has revealed the specifications and variant details for the upcoming Toyota Glanza CNG. The 1.2L petrol-CNG engine, which is shared with the recently launched Baleno CNG, will offer 77PS of power and 99Nm of torque when running on CNG.

4. Mercedes-Benz EQB

EQB

Mercedes-Benz plan to extend their EV portfolio in India with the launch of the EQB SUV. The upcoming EQB will be the first all-electric SUV in India with a 7-seat configuration. In global markets, Mercedes offer the EQB with 2 drivetrain options — 300 4Matic and 350 4Matic. The EQB 300 offers 228PS of power and 390Nm of torque. The EQB 350, on the other hand, offers 292PS of power and 520Nm of torque. Both the 300 and 350 models come with a 66.5kWh battery pack, 4-wheel-drive and a single-speed transmission.

The EQB will sit below the EQC and it is expected to be priced competitively thanks to local assembly. Meanwhile, Mercedes-EQ are working towards expanding their charging infrastructure in India to offer a seamless ownership experience.

5. BYD Atto 3

Atto-3

BYD took the wraps off the Atto 3 last month and bookings are currently open for a token amount of Rs. 50,000. BYD are expected to reveal the prices for the Atto 3 in November while deliveries will begin in January 2023. The India-spec BYD Atto 3 electric crossover comes with a 60.48kWh battery pack, giving it an ARAI-certified range of 521km on a single charge. The Atto 3 is the only electric crossover in the C-segment to offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as auto emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, rear cross traffic and adaptive cruise control.

BYD Atto 3 will go up against the likes of the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Hyundai Kona Electric facelift. We expect BYD to price the Atto 3 at Rs. 28 lakh ex-showroom. Click the link below to know more about the Atto 3.

6. Tata Tiago NRG CNG

Tiago-NRG-CNG

Tata Motors currently offer the Tiago and Tigor with a CNG powertrain. The Indian carmaker will soon offer the CNG option with the more-rugged Tiago NRG. It will share its powertrain with the Tiago CNG and offer 73PS of power and 95Nm of torque. We do not expect  any other mechanical or functional changes.

7. Toyota Innova Hycross

Innova Hycross

Toyota will reveal the Innova Hycross in November, ahead of its launch in January 2023. The new Innova Hycross will be based on a monocoque platform with a front-wheel-drive drivetrain. Furthermore, it is likely to ditch the diesel engine for a strong-hybrid powertrain. Toyota are likely to offer the Innova Hycross alongside the current Innova Crysta.
