
Skoda is all set to unveil the 2021 Kodiaq facelift on 13 April 2021. And while the official date is still a few weeks away, the carmaker has teased the updated SUV in a series of official sketches.

BMW launched the 2 Series Gran Coupe with a diesel engine in October 2020 and introduced the 220i M Sport in January 2021. The carmaker has now introduced a new more affordable variant of the petrol sedan, the 220i Sport. It is priced at Rs 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom), Rs 3 lakh less than the top-spec 220i M Sport variant.

Skoda showcased the Kodiaq petrol at the 2020 Auto Expo. Now, more than a year later, the carmaker has confirmed it will go on sale in India in Q3 2021 (July to September). Confirming the news, Zac Hollis, Director ŠKODA AUTO India tweeted, “The third launch this year will be the facelifted Kodiaq, which we will launch in Q3 with the powerful 2.0TSI engine.”

Just as we were ogling the images of the recently unveiled Skoda Kushaq, Skoda has confirmed that it will launch the next-gen Octavia in April 2021. Confirming the news, Zac Hollis, Director ŠKODA AUTO India tweeted,“ For all those Octavia fans out there. We plan to launch the all-new Octavia at the end of next month, with deliveries starting from end of May.”

Skoda Kushaq has made its global debut in India. It comes almost a year after Skoda showcased it in its concept form (Vision IN) at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Kushaq is Skoda’s first made-in-India SUV.

Jeep has finally launched made-in-India Wrangler in India. It is now priced from Rs 53.9 lakh to Rs 57.9 lakh (ex-showroom). It costs Rs 11 lakh less than the CBU import version which was on sale in the country earlier.

Mercedes Benz has launched the 2021 E-Class LWB facelift at a starting price of Rs 63.60 lakh that goes up to Rs 80.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). The E-Class LWB facelift is a premium luxury sedan that rivals the likes of the BMW 5 5 Series, Audi A6, Volvo S90 and the Jaguar XF.

However, the carmaker has now delayed the launch and prices of the locally manufactured Wrangler will now be announced on 17 March 2021. Currently, the Jeep Wrangler is offered in India as a CBU attracting a price tag ranging from Rs Rs 63.94 lakh to 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and with its localisation, the prices will go down significantly.
