
Audi India has launched the made-in-India Q5 in two variants - Premium Plus and Technology. The Q5’s Premium Plus variant costs Rs. 58.93 lakh while the Technology trim costs Rs. 63.77 lakh. Thanks to Audi’s simple naming convention, it’s easy to see that the new Q5 will sit between Q2 and Q7 in the Audi’s SUV lineup. Audi India makes the Q5 SUV in India and this is the 9th car from the German auto giant in 2021. The carmaker had opened bookings for the car some time ago for Rs. 2.0 lakh

Volkswagen India recently increased the prices of Taigun by up to Rs. 4300. After this price revision, the Taigun's ex-showroom prices now start at Rs. 10.54 lakhs and top out at Rs. 17.54 lakhs. The new November 2021 prices are between 0.25% and ).41% higher than before.

A video of the Nexa XL6 with heavy camouflage recently surfaced online. The LED headlights give away the XL6 hiding underneath, but we’re not sure if this is an XL6 facelift in the making of an update for the Ertiga. The test car also has a new design for the alloy wheels. After all, the Ertiga arrived first and is almost 3 years old right now. In partnership with Japanese Toyota Tsusho, Maruti Suzuki has opened up India’s first government-approved vehicle scrapping facility in Noida. The investment of Rs. 44.1 crore to set up this 10,993sq.m. facility will enable MSTI to recycle 24,000 vehicles every year. Union minister for road, transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated the plant on Nov 23, 2021.

Tata India recently increased the prices of Altroz and shuffled the variants. After this revision, the Altroz's ex-showroom prices start at Rs. 5.9 lakhs and tops out at Rs. 9.65 lakhs. Skoda today revealed the Slavia sedan to the world and opened bookings for their new sedan. The deliveries will start sometime in Q1 2022. The sedan’s specialities are its size and engine performance. It’s not quite as long as the new Honda City, but overall, it’s about as big as the City. It's also the widest car in the C-segment sedan space. According to our length-based segmentation, the Slavia is an exception in the C-segment, as it’s big enough to compete with the D-segment sedans. However, its features, engine specs and expected price makes it a suitable rival for the C-segment rivals like the Nexa Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Vento. The Slavia is sure to offer a commanding road presence.

Maruti Suzuki recently received permission from the Haryana government to set up a new manufacturing plant in Sonipat. The government allowed Maruti Suzuki to build the plant on 900-acre land. Maruti Suzuki are now testing the 2022 Vitara Brezza on Indian roads. The spy shots of the front and rear end of the test car recently surfaced online. Though the test mule is covered in heavy camouflage, some of the exterior highlights are visible.

Skoda Kushaq received 15,000 bookings in less than 5 months since it went on sale late in June 2021. The Kushaq is considerably smaller than the C-segment rivals like the MG Astor, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. However, there sure are customers interested in buying cars with a German soul. They offer a nice balance of ride and handling with a good feel from the touchpoints inside the cabin.

Spy pics of the second generation of the Nexa S-Cross from Maruti Suzuki recently surfaced online giving us a good look at the crossover. The images completely reveal the exterior design of the new car. Judging by the looks, the S-Cross is in for a major redesign. The crossover has shed a lot of its hatchback/crossover styling and now has a boxy-er lines to appeal to the butch SUV buyers.

Volvo XC90 petrol mild hybrid is now on sale for Rs. 89.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is only available in the Inscription variant with a diesel, petrol mild hybrid and petrol plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Volvo call its powertrain B6 and it joins the D5 diesel version of the car, which costs one lakh less at Rs. 88.9 lakh.

MG Motor recently unveiled their first residential community charger. This charger is installed in Gurugram at The WorldSpa condominiums. To enable this, MG has collaborated with Electreefi and the condominium’s RWA (Residential Welfare Association) to offer charger access to all EV owners and drivers, including WorldSpa residents and visitors.

Honda showcased the concept of a compact SUV at GIIAS 2021 in Indonesia. The concept is likely to go on sale as the ZR-V. The SUV has compact dimensions and short overhangs. The wheels are supersized - typical for a concept car - but the dimensions appear compact. Using the ORVM as a scale, we can say that the RS Concept SUV is too small to compete with the Creta or Seltos. Honda has not revealed the exact dimensions of the car yet.
